Drop-Off Shredding in Raleigh: Hours, Location, and What to Bring
If you've been looking for a place to drop off documents for secure shredding in Raleigh — without scheduling a service appointment or waiting for a truck — Allways Shred™ has a dedicated drop-off location open every Wednesday.
This page has everything you'd normally learn from calling us: the address, the hours, what you can bring, and exactly what to expect when you pull up. Keep it bookmarked — or just show up Wednesday.
Drop-Off Location and Hours
Allways Shred™ accepts drop-off shredding at our Raleigh facility every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM .
Address:
3909 Memo Ct
Raleigh, NC 27610
Drop-Off Hours:
Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Phone:
(919) 646-3050
No appointment needed. Just pull up during the Wednesday window and we'll take it from there.
If Wednesday doesn't work for your schedule, on-site mobile shredding is available any day of the week — we come to you, shred on the spot, and hand you a certificate of destruction before we leave.
What You Can Bring
The drop-off location accepts a wide range of materials for secure destruction — not just paper. Here's what you can bring:
Paper Documents and Files
- Banker's boxes, copy paper boxes, and bags of loose documents
- File folders, hanging folders, and binders — no need to remove anything
- Staples, paper clips, and rubber bands can stay in — our equipment handles it
- Envelopes, junk mail, and general correspondence
- Tax returns, bank statements, and financial records
- Medical records, prescription labels, and insurance documents
- Legal documents, contracts, and HR files
X-Rays
Medical X-rays and imaging films are accepted. These contain silver and personal health information — both good reasons to dispose of them properly rather than in a recycling bin or dumpster.
Hard Drives
Old hard drives — pulled from desktop computers, laptops, or server equipment — are accepted for certified physical destruction. Deletion and formatting are not enough. Physical destruction is the only method that guarantees data on a drive cannot be recovered.
Laptops
Complete laptops are accepted for secure destruction. If you have an old machine that's been sitting in a closet and you want it gone for good — not donated, not resold, not wiped and hoped for the best — bring it in.
Cell Phones and Mobile Devices
Smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices are accepted. These devices hold more personal data than most people realize — contacts, financial app logins, saved passwords, photos, and location history. Secure destruction is the right call when a device is at end of life.
🖥️ A Word on Electronics: A factory reset or drive wipe does not permanently erase data. Studies have shown that data recovery software can pull information off wiped drives and reset phones. If the device held financial information, login credentials, or personal data — physical destruction is the only method that closes the door completely.
What You Don't Need to Do Before You Arrive
A few things customers often ask about — and the answer to all of them is the same: don't worry about it.
- Staples and paper clips: Leave them in. Our industrial shredder handles metal fasteners without issue.
- Folders and binders: Leave documents in their folders. No need to pull pages out.
- Boxes vs. bags: Either works. Bring documents in whatever container makes sense — banker's boxes, copy paper boxes, garbage bags, or loose in a bin. We'll sort it out.
- Sorting by document type: You don't need to separate financial from medical from legal. It all goes in together.
- Minimum volume: There's no minimum. Bring one bag or bring thirty boxes — we handle both.
Large Volumes Are Welcome
The Wednesday drop-off window isn't just for a box or two. If you're doing an office cleanout, an estate cleanout, or clearing out years of accumulated paperwork, bring it all. We handle bulk drop-off shredding at the same location — no need to schedule a separate appointment for larger loads.
If you're not sure whether your volume is better suited for drop-off or an on-site mobile shredding visit, just call us at (919) 646-3050 and we'll tell you which makes more sense for your situation.
Payment at Drop-Off
Payment is accepted by cash or check at the drop-off location. If you'd like to pay by credit card, give the office a call at (919) 646-3050 ahead of your visit and we'll take care of it over the phone.
What Happens to Your Documents
Everything dropped off at the Memo Court location is shredded using industrial-grade equipment — the same process used for on-site mobile shredding jobs. Your documents aren't stored, held, or batched with other customers' material indefinitely. They're destroyed securely.
As a locally owned document destruction company serving the greater Raleigh area, Allways Shred™ has built its reputation on handling sensitive material the right way — with the care and accountability you'd expect from a company where the owner is directly involved in every job.
